Updated the gallery adding few outtakes from the photoshoot Caitriona did for the Los Angeles Times last month. She looks great! Be sure to check them:
The gallery was updated with 16 HQ pictures of Amazon Prime’s ‘Outlander’ Premiere held in London back in March.
Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan and Ron Moore attended a Q&A before a screening of the first episode, which you still able to watch it online:
Yesterday the gallery was updated with screencaptures of the interview Cait, Sam and Diana did to CBS This Morning back in July/2014. Today I have added 6 HQ pictures of their arrivals to the studio in order to record the interview. Enjoy it!
Caitriona, while on hiatus from Outlander, joined the cast of Money Monster, a financial thriller directed by Jodie Foster and starred by George Clooney and Julia Roberts.
Clooney is set to star as Lee Gates, a bombastic television stock huckster, whose program — Money Monster — and life are taken hostage by an outraged gunman (Jack O’Connell). As much of the world watches live, Gates must keep himself alive and, with help from the woman who produces the show (Roberts), uncover the truth behind a tangle of big-money lies.
Balfe will play the head of PR for the company whose stock bottomed, causing the life’s savings of O’Connell’s character to be wiped out.
I have added in our gallery some pictures of Caitriona on set in New York back in April 12:
There’s no release date yet for the film.
The Starz hit “Outlander,” based on the books by Diana Gabaldon and adapted for television by Ronald D. Moore, has had a bodice-ripping first season. Caitriona Balfe plays Claire Fraser, a bold British World War II nurse who is thrown back in time, in Scotland, from her 1945 existence to a rough land about 200 years earlier. To complicate matters, she has ended up with a husband in both epochs: Jamie (Sam Heughan) in the 18th century, Frank in the 20th (Tobias Menzies). It’s just your typical time-traveling-historical-romance-fantasy-drama-adventure.
Meeting at the London West Hollywood hotel not long before returning to Scotland to shoot Season 2, Balfe (whose first name is pronounced Katrina and last name rhymes with Ralph) chats easily about her character’s trials, triumphs and corsetry.
Even in the 20th century, Claire seems ahead of her time.
She doesn’t feel like she really belongs in the 1940s or the 1700s, and that’s due to Diana, who’s an incredible force of nature. Claire was raised by an uncle who was an atheist and an anthropologist, and she traveled the world, and she’s always been a timeless or placeless character.
Outlander cast is already in Scotland, filming the second season. You will find now in the gallery the fist photos of Caitriona in Fife, shooting some scenes in Dysart Harbour.

Caitriona is featured on this weekend’s New York Post, featuring a gorgeous new photoshoot. She’s talking about her career, on being ‘almost’ anonymous, her next run on cinema in a Jodie Foster film, and, of course, Outlander.
As the headstrong Claire Randall on “Outlander” — the time-traveling romance now in its second season on Starz — Caitriona Balfe headlines as a 1940s nurse suddenly transported to 18th-century Scotland (as you do). She perfectly evokes both eras, with a portrait-ready face and porcelain skin seemingly made for period costume.
Here in New York, on an April morning, Balfe (who goes by Cait) is still strikingly beautiful — but also startlingly contemporary. Of course, you don’t quite expect her to arrive in a corset, but in her Maison Margiela jeans and boots and A.P.C. trench with not a stitch of makeup on, Balfe’s effect is disorienting, a testament to how fully she has entranced fans with her portrayal of Claire. Caitriona Balfe Knows Why That ‘Outlander’ Sex Scene Slayed You
It’s no secret that Starz’ breakout hit about a time-traveling nurse has a secret ingredient: Her name is Caitriona Balfe. And she’s here to get dirty and have a drink (and maybe some sex).
In Outlander, Starz’s breakout period drama about a time-traveling nurse caught in a centuries-spanning, life-threatening love triangle (returning for the second half of season one on April 4), Caitriona Balfe, who plays lead Claire Randall, finds herself at the center of an on-screen sexual revolution. The game changer: After six episodes of sexual tension, forced-together newlyweds Claire and virginal Jamie (Sam Heughan) finally disrobe, but instead of porny showmanship we’re presented with egalitarian nudity and vulnerability. Here, as promised in the April issue of ELLE, an extended Q&A with Balfe plus an exclusive sneak peek at the hotly-anticipated new episodes:
What initially drew you to the role of Claire?
She felt like a very modern woman. She’s very intelligent, very strong, and has found herself in a place where she constantly has to fight to be who she is. It’s such a crazy concept for her not to stand up and fight for what she believes is right and just. She never sees herself as a victim and uses whatever she has at her disposal to get through adverse times.
