Caitriona Supports
Caitriona is World Child Cancer's Patron since 2014.
Many children with cancer in the developing world can be cured, but without appropriate treatment, few survive. World Child Cancer’s work is changing all that and I’m proud to support them and the amazing work they are doing.
One of the very favourite parts of the Outlander promotion last season was the Q&A videos the cast did. We have them again (YAY!) and the first one is with Caitriona. Check it:
Season 2 of Outlander won’t premiere on Starz until 2016, and Jesus H. Roosevelt Christ that’s a long wait. But never fear: the DVD/Blu-ray for the latter half of season 1 officially arrives next week, and EW has your exclusive first look at one of the deleted scenes featured on the upcoming release.
Outlander: Season One — Volume Two will be released via Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday.
“Outlander” is five episodes into filming Season 2, and Caitriona Balfe said she’s been enjoying the new material for her character, Claire Fraser, who is pregnant.
“It’s going really good,” Caitriona told Access Hollywood at Comic-Con earlier this month before returning to the show’s set in Scotland. “It’s a very visually – a very different show this year. I mean, obviously Claire and Jamie are sort of center and all that still. But yeah, it’s really beautiful. The sets are fantastic — so rich and so lush and the costumes are incredible, but you know what I’ve been really enjoying is that Claire’s pregnant and playing all of that – what that brings up in her and about impending motherhood and everything. It’s just been a really, really fun, great material to work with.”
Claire thought she couldn’t get pregnant, and now that she is, it affects the character quite deeply. (more)
